Addresses
The addresses provided below are just a
few of the organizations that can help you locate information to incorporate
into your family history. Most of these places require a form to be filed as
well as a research fee. Before sending your queries, write to the address to
request information about the services provided as well as any required forms and fees. Fees not
only include a set amount to cover
the provided service but also varying fees for making
copies of documents, postage, etc.
*** Note: There are many private researchers available
to conduct searches at the various locations listed below as well as other
places. Don't be too hasty in utilizing someone's service just because they
charge a smaller fee or say they can get the information. Never worry about
offending someone by asking them to provide you with references of previous
customers and/or writing to the Better Business Bureau to check out their
claims. I'm just telling you this so you're not wasting your money on some
scam. ***
