1. Jack HAMEL (b.Pa) married Emma LONG. Children: Crawford Calvin [see #2].

2. Crawford Calvin HAMEL (b.1874 Pa-d.4/4/1940) married Laura Noble KELLER (b.5/2/1875 Pa-d.4/15/1954). Children: Estella Marie [see #3], Alverta (b.8/10/1908 Pa), William C (b.6/9/1895 Pa), Leroy Roosevelt.     Crawford had no formal education. He worked laying ties for the Pennsylvania RR. Laura had a 5th grade education and was a housewife.     Crawford was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.
