Welcome to Things On My
Mind, the official site of CrossRose Friends Internet Outreach, one of
our outreach ministries here at the CrossRose Friends Church. My name is
Sheila Rae Myers and I serve as the pastor of CrossRose Friends. I'd like to
get you to think for a moment. Answer this question: What types of things
inhabit your thoughts? My answer to that question is, as a Christian, I
often think of how wonderful it is to be saved by God's amazing mercy
and grace. While you read through our site, remember the words in these
pages come from our minds, hearts, and souls. For all of my writings, the
pages contain many of the thoughts that have swirled around
in my mind since the day I became a Christian. I hope you may find something that
will inspire you, help you find an answer to a question you may have, or just
get you to think about what's important during this lifetime and for eternity. May our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, be with you all. |

OUR MISSION |
|
We
here at CrossRose Friends we're called by God to share the Gospel with as
many people as possible. Jesus himself told the disciples - and we believe
this applies to all Christians today - to go into the world and preach the
Good News (Luke 16:5). This Gospel, or Good News, is summed up in John 3:16
when Jesus tells us that God loves the whole world and that those who believe
in his Son, Jesus Christ, will have eternal life. We are here to be a witness
to both believers and non-believers who are searching for answers about this
truth. |

OUR BELIEFS |
|
Here at CrossRose Friends we
could state as our daily affirmation: I believe in one God in the form of the
Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that the man known as Jesus was the physical
manifestation of God on earth - Jesus is God. I believe that Jesus Christ is my
Lord and Savior who died to cover my sins, that his body remained but
three days in the grave, and that on the third day He arose. I believe the Bible was
divinely inspired and contains the Holy Truth. I believe that God's word is
relevant yesterday, today, and forever. |

The
following section of the website is where our visitors can learn more about
this outreach ministry, CrossRose Friends Church, our staff (outreach and
church), as well as read some of the Bible studies and sermons written and
presented by various people within our ministry. Our main focus at Things
On My Mind is to present God's truth through the studies and resources we
make available. It's our hope each of our visitors take time to read the
presented material and that each person walks away with some new insight into
the Word of God. |

THE PASTOR'S PAGES |

This site was originally
created as a way for me to share some of my Christian-based poetry, essays,
and short stories with the internet community. However, when plans were made
to convert this site to an outreach of our church, some people suggested I
delete those writings and focus strictly on teaching the Word of God. I
couldn't bring myself to do this because I had received many emails in the past from
people saying they were inspired or uplifted by something they read at the old
version of this site. My hope is that visitors may read something in this
section that may help them through the day. |
