ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED?

There's great danger in
teaching the doctrine of once saved, always saved. Least of all is the fact
that people may see this as a license to do as they wish. The biggest
danger, however, would come from people not being prepared. Once taught
salvation can't be lost, generally explained by saying the Holy Spirit
will keep them from turning away, people aren't ready for the attacks from
outside. They won't understand that by free will we can choose either to
follow the Holy Spirit or to be led by our own feelings, wants, and desires.
The Bible fully explains that salvation can be lost.
The most clearly stated message is in Hebrews 6:4-6. |
